Our family started coming here frequently in the past year initially for family events but the food is so good that I've started coming here on the weekends on my own. The portion sizes are huge but more importantly are the flavors of the dishes. Our go to are honey walnut shrimp, I haven't been able to find same amazing flavor elsewhere. The ones I've tried at other restaurants have always been heavily breaded and flavorless underneath the breading. The salt and pepper cod is delicious! So many layers of flavoring! And lastly the sweet and sour pork short ribs; serving size is humongous and the flavoring really opens your appetite. We recently went for their lunch menu 3 items including free soup and rice for ~$46-amazing deal! Plenty left overs to take home. Definitely will be our go to place!

My family likes to come here for big Chinese dinners. It's not the prettiest and most modern Chinese restaurant around but it's been a solid spot for good food for a long time. Not to mention the folks that run the place tend to make you feel at home here. I have never had to complain about service. Portions are very generous and prices are very fair.

Our family has been coming to Empero Taste for years. Great food, good portions and value have us coming back for all sorts of special occasions and just getting together to eat. The ownership and wait staff simply just take care of you, period. Granted they do get very busy on holidays so rein in your expectations accordingly. We went there last night for an early Thanksgiving dinner and ordered their $228 banquet meal for 8 people. Don't be fooled, it will easily feed 10!! We had 8 and plenty of to go boxes at the end. Seafood soup, lots of pork, veggies and shrimp Clams, big dish and savory Mixed Mushrooms, had mustard greens which I love but many folks don't like Sizzling lamb, crowd favorite lots of meat and onions sizzling Egg Yolk prawns, large head on prawns with salty coating and lots of head juice! Fried chicken was substituted with the poached chicken Soft and super tender you will not be disappointed Sand dabs, 2 huge sand dabs deep fried and with tasty sauce Pork spare ribs. Actually pork chops deep fried and crispy. My personal favorite Lobster Noodles. Kids favorite whole lobster cooked over saucy noodles. Squid shrimp rice. This was a gigantic portion mounded on a large oval plate. Lots of squid bits and plenty of shrimp paste. Really good! You get a large plate of cut up oranges for dessert / palette cleanser. Sometimes they give sweet taro tapioca which I love. Please try this if you go with a big party. The restaurant has two rooms of about equal size. Either room is fine and service is no different. 5 stars!

This place was awesome, I got take out for pick up on a Saturday night and the place was absolutely packed! Huge families sitting at round tables and people waiting outside. I ordered about 10 dishes and it only took 40 mins for them to prepare. I would say that the portions are average and equivalent to the price but the quality is really good. My favorites were the pea sprouts and curry chicken! I'll definitely be coming back and bringing my family.

Food overloaaad! Not sure if it's bc I came for a dinner event but the portions are HUGE! Ambiance and service is like a typical Chinese restaurant. Food: - The "duck with bun/veggies" was good. -The "steamed clam with vermicelli" was delicious! Super garlicky and flavorful, absolute must try! -The "salted crab" was very crispy and savory. -The "lettuce wrap" was also delicious with flavorful fillings and the plain lettuce to balance out the taste! -The "sticky rice covered in chicken skin" was HUMONGOUS! it's basically lotus sticky rice without the lotus leaf. It was good, but I'd still prefer lotus though. -The "red lobster" and "black bass fish" was good. Overall, food quantity was huge and was delicious! Would come again with family and friends :))

The 4 of us came for weekday lunch today. We ordered the spicy salt pork chops, tomato beef curry geen mein and green beans with beef. The spicy salt pork was excellent but the portion size was smaller than usual. Maybe a different cook? The tomato beef curry crispy noodles didn't have much of a curry taste and there was hardly any sliced beef in it. There was a ton of sliced beef In the green beans. I guess that made up for the noodles. Still a good deal and we still had leftovers. They still offered us complimentary tea, White rice and soup.

Empero is definitely one of my favorites classic Cantonese restaurant. The dishes are everything you thought of and more. You will find what you're looking for. The service is friendly and the dishes will arrive as soon as you could forget about them. I have been here with as much as 10 people, but I have seen tables with more people. I recommend making reservations if you have more than 4 people coming here. This time there were only four of us and we were looking for trouble. It started out with drinking at my friend's house on an empty stomach. We came here with the intent of overly indulge on seafood. We had it all planned out: 1st arrive early before the crowd. 2nd go to the liquor store for a little bottle of Hennessy. 3rd order all the seafood we could think of. The first dish to arrive at our table were these Godzilla oysters with black bean sauce. I had these before but they were usually half the size these. I was thinking, "the oysters are going to be a nice little appetizer." NO, it was the showstopper with a standing ovation. Do order this to impress everyone at your table. Please take the time to look at my pictures for the rest of dishes we ordered. They were all delicious and satisfied my seafood crave. Btw, the night did not end well for us. Let's just say this night will be a reminder for us to slow it down, act our age, and behave more civilized.

Empero Taste has been one of the go-to restaurant for our large family gatherings, primarily because they have large circle tables to accommodate us. Of course, they do have some tasty dishes that has us returning again and again. Our most recent visit was to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Reservations are a must, especially when you need a big table. As a matter of fact, the place is packed at every visit. They do offer some great set banquet menus and have quite a selection to choose from. Some of our more recent dishes include: * Salted Fish Steamed Pork - This is a fan favorite all around. My sister enjoys it even more when there's more sauce to pour on your rice. * Snow Pea Leaves with Garlic - They do really good with their vegetables. * Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs - A new discovery for the Little Gal and wouldn't stop talking about it. * Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs * Beef Fried Rice * Salt & Pepper Calamari - The downfall of this dish was that we got it at the very end of our meal when we were very full. It's pretty salty and white rice is a must. * Egg Yolk Crab * Salt and Pepper Shrimp * Soup * Clams in Black Bean Sauce * Catfish with Tofu in Black Bean Sauce - This was not a favorite. I thought it was very bland. However, my brother really liked it. * Squab * Empress Chicken The restaurant is made up of two rooms - the second one being up a couple of stairs. The men's restroom is also located on that side. Something to keep in mind for those with mobility issues. A good sign with any Chinese restaurant is having Chinese customers and this is always the case. Service is what you can expect for a packed Chinese restaurant. You'll need to wave them down if you need anything extra. Overall, Emperor Taste does its job with giving you flavorful Chinese dishes. We always order too much and have plenty of leftovers. 3.5 stars

Still a solid 3.5 stars After a long day in the city, we crave for a more substantial meal. This place used to be our go to spot for decent cheap eat, can believe it's been almost 5 years since the last visit. We arrived shortly after 5 PM which means we missed the great lunch special deal which requires ordering before 5.pm. The deal offers choice of three dishes from a list plus house soup and unlimited rice for $43 (used to be $30 ish), indeed a hard to beat value. The place still looked the same, not much ambiance to speak of and service is still slow but OK. There were quite a few tables with eating in progress, most likely the regulars taking advantage of the deal, there were also many to go orders. We ordered tofu w/ three mushrooms, beef w/ Gai Lan and salt & pepper spareribs. The complimentary soup was actually tasty with tofu skin and pork bones. Also ordered a bowl of rice but received a full bucket. All three dishes came pretty quickly, all fresh and steamy hot and all in HUGE portions. The spareribs are thinly sliced pork chop fried crispy, good flavor but a little too fatty. Beef was pretty standard, the Gai lan was fresh. The tofu mushrooms were good too. Nothing was super outstanding but all were quite enjoyable. Our total before tip was $66 which may be comparable to most others but the amount of food received was easily double. We took home the leftovers which were enough for at least two more meals. It's a great place for old fashioned Cantonese food, nothing fancy but very good value.
